Medicines for epilepsy (anticonvulsants) – drugs with anticonvulsant action.
These medications are prescribed by the attending physician as a neurologist and are dispensed in pharmacies strictly according to the prescription.
Anticonvulsant drugs are selected only after clarifying the cause and type of seizures. The choice of the drug should be carried out by the attending physician.
Self-administration of anticonvulsants is fraught with unforeseen consequences for the body.
. Gabapentin does not bind to blood plasma proteins, the volume of distribution is 57.7 liters. Gabapentin is practically not metabolized. Does not induce oxidative enzymes of the liver. It is excreted by the kidneys unchanged. T1 does not depend on the dose and on average is 5-7 hours in individuals with normal renal excretory function. In elderly patients and in those with impaired renal function, the rate of excretion decreases in direct proportion to the level of creatinine clearance. It is excreted from the blood during hemodialysis. It is recommended that the dose be adjusted to patients with impaired renal function and those on hemodialysis.
order Gabapentin 600mg × 120 pills
INDICATIONS

epilepsy. As a monotherapy for partial seizures with secondary generalization or without it in adults and children aged ≥12 years.

As an additional therapy for partial seizures with secondary generalization or without it in adults and children ≥6 years of age.

Treatment for peripheral neuropathic pain in postherpetic neuralgia or diabetic neuropathy in adults.

inside, regardless of food intake, with enough water.
Epilepsy. Epilepsy patients require prolonged therapy. Dosage is determined in accordance with the individual tolerability and efficacy of the drug. When, in the doctor’s opinion, there is a need to reduce the dose, stop taking the drug or replace it with an alternative medicine, it should be done gradually for at least 1 week.

Adults and children ≥12 years of age. The effective dose of Gabantine is 900-3600 mg / day (divided into 3 doses). Treatment can be started with a titration dose (see Table 1) or with a prescription of 300 mg 3 times daily in the first day. Further, depending on the patient’s individual response to treatment and the tolerability of the drug, the dose can be gradually increased by 300 mg / day every 2-3 days to a maximum dose of 3600 mg / day. Some patients may require a slower titration of gabapentin. The minimum time to achieve a dose of 1800 mg / day corresponds to 1 week, doses of 2400 mg / day – 2 weeks, doses of 3600 mg / day – a total of 3 weeks. The maximum interval between doses of the drug should not exceed 12 h to prevent the development of seizures.

Children aged 6 to 12 years. Treatment begins with a dose of 10-15 mg / kg of body weight per day. The effective dose is 25-35 mg / kg / day, achieved by titration for about 3 days. The daily dose is divided into 3 doses, the maximum interval between doses of the drug should not exceed 12 h.

Neuropathic pain in adults. Treatment can be initiated with titration of the dose (see Table 1) or with an initial dose of 900 mg / day divided into 3 doses. Further, depending on the patient’s individual response to treatment and the tolerability of the drug, the dose can be gradually increased by 300 mg / day every 2-3 days to a maximum dose of 3600 mg / day.
